Mission:
Monsters of the Past
Location: ARDDF Mutara Nebua
Timeline: 239503.14
Captain's Log Stardate 239503.14
The Advanced Research Defense and development Facility is being run by computers. Somehow the crew has managed to combine and merge with the system to focus all their will on Borg-busting weapons systems, My Chief Engineer is attempting to figure out the power systems and devices that enabled the El Aurians to do that. Marina Tanger can feel the dreadful force of their combined wills and it's more of a Vendetta to pay back the Borg for destroying their home world. according to the logs they easily destroyed a task force of 15 cubes easily within the last two months. That is right about the time Starfleet lost contact with the station. When we found the station it was encased in a pocket reality. both in and within our own universe. So far the effects of the weaponry developed have been devastating. We are heading to the computer core to find out how the El Aurians merged with the station.

Maia had pretty much-given everyone their assignments and questions could be handled by the communicator.
She took anyone not busy with her to the computer core.
The computer core ran along the central nexus or spine of the station, with was actually 1500 meters long. She wondered if the eerie green glow had anything to do with that o if it was some sort of defence mechanism. She didn't feel a sense of dread and for once was glad she wasn't empathic. It seemed to be causing Marina more than a little discomfort. At least the turbo lifts were working. It took some time to get to the lower levels of the computer core and to the control room.
They found no bodies or evidence of damage on the way. The base seemed to be on full automatic.
They entered the control room which was the size of a large warehouse There were pods at all EPS conduits hooked into the computer core.
Maia walked over to the central computer console and brought up a schematic diagram of the main function of the devices.
Belbre was on high alert. She sensed something but could not determine what it was. His senses were in overdrive. The pods were like something was alive in them. But she could not determine what was going on. "Captain I am not picking up life signs, but I am sensing life signs through my telepathic powers. I cannot determine where this is coming from or why this is happening."
"Very Well" Maia replied.
Paisley was on stand-by, settled into a corner, watching carefully. Her tricorder wasn't much use, and neither was her eidetic memory. Yet. Still, she scanned the room from stem to stern, picking up every minute detail, just in case. Engineering would be the star of this show, but since she was the CSO, she was still there to lend a hand with the science or math parts of the mission, whatever they may be. "I can go with Belbre to search the rest of the facility," the Carjoran offered.
"I may need your scientific expertise here Paisley, Commander Belbre and her security staff will secure the station while we figure out what happened. See if you can access scientific logs to find out how they imprinted their physical forms into the computer core." Maia suggested.
She nodded, stepping forward to the computers, and running deft, quick fingers over the keys. She waited a moment and was surprised when several things spit out at her. "I have access. I'll keep you informed," she said, pulling out her PADD to send messages-she wouldn't need to take notes as her eidetic memory would do that for her.
Marina was feeling the strain, the deeper she’d gotten into the station the stronger the sensations she’d picked up aboard ship had gotten. She was feeling the thirst for Vengeance as strongly as the El Aurians who now resided, merged together, as part of the station. “Revenge...such a thirst for revenge...”
Isabelle was watching Marina with concern, she was worried their Assistant Chief of Intelligence was losing herself to the consciousness that now filled the station. She looked towards Hendon. “Doctor, I’m not happy with the way this place is affecting Lieutenant Tanger.”
Robert was glad it was not just himself that was concerned for Marina.
“ I was feeling the same thing. I have a natural inhibitor in my med pack. The only problem is due to Dr Tolon's complete refusal to give us more information it’s 50-50 whether it will help her.” Robert warned
Isabelle sighed. “Given Marina’s past and how sensitive she is that might be a good idea, although I do have another idea for you...”
“ If you have another idea I am open to suggestions,” Hendon said
“I’m not sure it’s one you’ll doc.” She offered a smile. “I was thinking you could put an inhibitor on Marina, and use an inhibitor in reverse to boost my senses. Out of the two of us, I’m not as big a risk if anything goes wrong. With Marina’s abilities, she could do some severe damage.”

Samantha stepped up next to the computer terminal along the wall of the chamber and brought a schematic of the station on screen. She was biting her lower lip as she searched blueprints for the machinery her mission was to find and destroy.
Ryan came up alongside her. "Any luck?" He cast a glance at the large number of personnel assigned to the away team. He hated having to keep secrets from whoever was going to have to accompany Samantha.
Samantha ignored the question as she continued her search. It was not so much out of rudeness as she was simply focused. She paused to study one diagram and shook her head. "Damn! They actually did it." She turned to Ryan. "You and I will not be able to handle this alone."
Ryan looked at the group around the chamber again. "Who do we take with us and what do we tell them?"
Samantha glanced about as well. "Someone good with computers. Someone who can bypass security systems. Finally, someone who can sabotage machinery. As for what we tell them, nothing other than we have to destroy some illegal technology."
Ryan knew the who after what Samantha said, but he didn't want to keep a team in the dark. "We will do things your way, but I will tell them what it is we are doing when and if it becomes necessary for the success of the mission. Understood?"
Samantha sighed but nodded after a moment.
Lieutenant JG T'Plana-hath had been busy uploading data from the computer core to her PaDD and comparing it to data she had already gained from the station and known data. She did something most unusual for a Vulcan, she frowned. Something is not right here. she thought as she reviewed the data and schematics, something was niggling in her mind from her days as a V'Shar agent.
Ryan led the way over to Maia. "Captain. Samantha and I require assistance from Lieutenant Kasey Tanger, Lieutenant P'Rar, and Lieutenant T'Plana-hath. Samantha found the manufacturing device.
"Very well, go with him find out what you can, and report back to me. Captain Sterling said. "Lt. McMahon will stay with me, I sent Kasey to examine the power systems on this base's engineering deck," Sterling added.
Ryan turned to Paisley still working on the terminal. "We can spare a few minutes for you to complete your task at hand, but we'll be heading out for a secure set of labs and storage areas on the lower decks shortly. I need you to be ready to go in five minutes at most."
Paisley nodded. "I have everything I need, thank you." She shut it down and sent a quick note to the others. She'd report in person, as well.
Belbre and her staff went to the main security console and began checking things out. She sent out patrols to check for anyone that may have been hiding for whatever reason. "Captain I have complete control of all security systems now. And am running sensor sweeps now. I am also attempting to get into the past security records but that does take time. Also, I have teams out checking the station now as well.
So far there are no reports of security issues.
"Good Job. head down to the computer core and we will regroup there." Maia said.
