Mission:
The Thorion Conundrum Mission Brief
Location: Adift Enemy Vessel
ON:
As soon as they materialised, Sheena took the lead. Being ex-security Chief, she carefully made her way to the corridor that connected with the ship's scientific and medical bays. "Ryan, Maria, make your way carefully, picking up all info that you can as you find and secure the psionic weapon. Keep an open comlink and no heroics Understood?" she said quietly.
Ryan left his phaser rifle cross slung across his torso as he pulled out his phaser pistol and a tricorder. He gave Maia a nod. "Concentrate your search to starboard and I will scan the port side."
"Understood," replied Maria drawing her weapon, she continued " I hope this goes alright as I have a bad feeling about this," as they started to walk down the corridor.
Looking at Keitel, "Hank you come with me and the rest of our team. I need to find the captain of this vessel to get the information I need about my parents, " she said whispering.
Hank and gestured the two enlisted security ratings to take point. He fell in a meter behind one of the two security guards with his phaser rifle at the low ready. He gave Sheena a nod before moving out.
Sheena moved slowly as she probed ahead with her mind hoping to sense other minds. Suddenly stopping short, Sheena's hand curled into a fist as she raised it, bringing the group to a halt. She sensed a strong mind and crouched low. "Keitel, 100 feet ahead and to your left, is a powerful mind. We need to grab whoever it is," Sheena said before she hit her combadge. =/\=Ryan be careful we are not alone I sense others. We are going after the strong mind I sense=/\= she finished saying.
From behind the corridor you are all assaulted with phaser fire, some of them are putting up a resistance, from the sound and damage on the walls there phasers as set to at least level 13.
=/\=Acknowledged, we're tracking a signal we believe will take us to the weapon we were sent for.=/\=
A phaser blast over your head takes out a display panel.
Hank pulled a stun pulse grenade from his belt and motioned for the point and to continue. They reached a closed door and the second enlisted man tapped the panel release to access the door lock. The security man gave Hank a nod as he counted down with his fingers. Hank tossed the grenade into the room as the door opened.
"Damn it!," she said as the grenade exploded. "Heikle secure the room. I want prisioners!" Sheena yelled.
=======
Ryan held his phaser rifle at the ready as he and Maria searched the aft section of the ship. He kept his eyes down the corridor. "How much further until we reach the source of that signal?" A phaser blast narrowly missed Ryan's head and scorched a panel behind just behind and to his left. He swept his phaser rifle down the corridor as he fired back.
=/\= CommanderToran, we are under attack, Do we have permission to return fire? =/\= as she darted for cover hoping that Whoever had fired that shot was alone as she knew this was going to be tough.
=/\=Go! Green light,=/\=Sheena said to Ryan's group.
Marina sat with a group of other Betazoids, all of whom had been chosen for their level and strength of ability. It was their jobs to broadcast the signal that was affecting the Leto, to disable and take down as many of the Leto’s crew as they could. Marina was focussing what she had on disabling without permanently damaging those her combined efforts touched, amongst it all there was someone she touched that made her back off. She didn’t know why, or who but she quickly shook it off and got back to her task.
Ryan paused his firing as he ducked back down behind cover. He pointed to the tricorder in Maria's hand and gestured down the corridor. If she could pinpoint the sniper, he might be able to take them out.
As Maria began to scan for the sniper, she looked at the tricorder and noticed that the sniper was inside from with the door ajar, Maria said" On your left four doors down," as she knew that it could be a hard shot. but she knew that Ryan could make it or at least hope he could.
Ryan gave Maria a thumbs up. He modified the settings on his phaser rifle and lay down a constant barrage of fire on the door as he rushed forward and tossed a stun grenade in the door. He motioned Maria forward as he quickly checked the room. "Tag him and call in a transport straight to the brig."
As Maria knelt down and placed the tag upon the prone figure she said =/\= McMahon to Leto, One to beam directly to the brig,=/\= and then rose looking back at Ryan and said"Let's get this finished with so we can go home,"
Ryan gave Maria a single nod of his head. He paused to check his own tricorder and gestured down the corridor. "Energy signature is coming from the last door on the right. Only two life signs detected. We disable the lock, open the door and stun the two inside. We'll figure out what to do after that."
=/\= Leto acknowledges =/\=
The tagged prisoner dematerilaized.
=/\= Alpha team this is Sterling what is your status"=/\= Maia asked.
Sheena took a chance and opened her mind slightly. As she did, a figure came around the corner and grinned, "You will die now!" Sheena looked dead at the Betazoid, "Not today cumquat!" as she stunned him instantly
=/\=Alpha team to Sterling bagged one of the main cohorts. Transport when ready. Sheena out =/\=
=/\= Acknowledged Alpha one, well done=/\= Sterling replied.
"Come on Keitel lets go and find the other one and then we can leave," Sheena said motioning for him to move up.
Hank checked his tricorder and pointed to a door at the end of the corridor. "Three life signs ahead. Two near Blake and McMahon. If there is any more aboard, they're not showing up on the tricorder."
*looking at Keitel* "I want them. One is the other main cohort directing the other two. Be careful of Ryan and Maria, and I don't sense any others either.
=/\=Ryan don't lose them....Hank and I are coming up from the opposite direction. If you get the shot take it and send all three back to the ship. Sheena out=/\=
=/\=Acknowledged=/\= Ryan turned to Maria. "Ready?"
"Ready as I'll ever be" replied Maria as she carried her weapon in front of her, as she knew this was getting uglier by the second as they moved forward up the Corridor.
Meanwhile, Marina was trying to concentrate on her part of the mental attack until she was pulled clear of the others. “What’s going on?”
“We need you, our people are being picked off by boarding parties you’re to go and defend the ship.”
“What!?” Marina frowned.
“You can do this Marina...” her colleague rested his hands on her shoulders. “You trained for this, we all did. We need you!”
Marina nodded and headed out with two others, all she had to do was bring down their intruders, she just hoped she could do it without permanently harming them.
Ryan opened a door to a large chamber that spanned several decks. It was laced with grated catwalks running fore to aft and port to starboard throughout the three-deck-high chamber. Machines were on various platforms and a strong electric vibe permeated the air.
Maria gland quickly down at her tricorder and said "Damit, the tricorder is acting up," as they continued further up, "watch yourself, Ryan, I have a bad feeling about this " as something told her that something bad was going to happen.
Hiding in the chamber Marina was waiting, she didn’t need a tricorder to know she had company, the upside of Betazoid senses was she could sense the approach of others. Part of her Caliphate training was infiltration, and she was damn good at it! There was something about the voice of the male, it was someone she knew all too well. Now all she had to do was wait.
Maria said "great still nothing on the tricorder" as she whispered to her partner, as she knew that her own betazoid senses were going nuts," Ryan, something is wrong here trust me on this,"
Ryan glanced down at the tricorder in Maria's hand. The rooms electromagnetic interference played havoc on the tricorder sensors. He glanced up to tell Maria to stay frosty when a masked figure swung down from above and knocked him to the ground, his phaser rifle clattering over the handrail to the deck below.
Marina had always been good at hand to hand at the Academy, seizing her chance she went over the phaser rifle, getting to it first she took aim at Maria and fired.
As the beam struck her, Maria felt the strange tingle like she had in the Academy when someone had accidentally let a phaser of stunning her as Maria crumpled to the floor sprawled unconscious.
Ryan lept over the handrail. TBC in the Big Surprise
No sooner did Sheena finish talking to Hank, two forms came out of hiding. "Hank! On your left, I got the other," she said. Taking a few steps to the right, she stunned the woman as she tried to run. =/\= Sheena to Leto One tagged and ready for transport=/\=
Hank stunned the other one and scanned with his tricorder as the security team bagged and tagged the final Caliphate member. He turned to Sheena. "Lieutenant Commander Blake and Lieutenant McMahon must have returned to the Leto. We're the only life signs left aboard."
=/\=" Leto to away team Alpha, what is your status? Are you about ready to return=/\= Sterling's voice inquired?
As the sounds of sterling's voice come over the com Maria, started to come around as she said =/\=Been stunned, do not know where Blake is?=/\= as she struggled to sit up once more to get her bearings to try and find her partner.
Ryan climbed up onto the catwalk from the deck below and came to Maria's side to help her up. He gave her a cursory once over as he helped Maria to her feet. He tapped his commbadge. "Leto, this is Blake. One prisoner tagged for transport three meters below us. Transport them directly to the brig. Then lock onto McMahon and my signal for transport to Sickbay. Energize when ready."
=/\= Understood Leto Out =/\=
