Double Dealing

Captains Log Stardate 239605.21
The Damage control team and engineering staff have managed to get the Calypso repaired enough to move under her own power. Granted that will be impulse power before we can get her to a space dock, the Port Nacelle is half blown off and the ship had its warp core ejected. I have engineering reconstructing a replacement warp core, it's long work. At 1/2 impulse it will be 4 days before we reach Triton which at this time is on the other end of the star system. I have left Mr Barth in command of the Calypso while the teams continue repairs. The progress has been remarkable though. Special commendations go to Lt Barth Commander Blake and Commander Sayori for their hard work which is reflected in this captain's log.

Maia watched as the Calypso activated her impulse engines. The ship seemed to rock a bit before the inertial dampeners kicked in. For those onboard, it must have been a rough ride.
"Mr. Thornehill set course for Triton, course heading 074 mark 2 increase to 1/2 impulse power," Maia ordered.
"Aye, Captain," Max said, inputting the course. "Course laid in, Captain." He held his hand over the go button.
"Engage", Maia ordered.
"Full crawl," Max joked, hitting his controls. The ship moved forward slowly, keeping pace with the Calypso besides her. Max brought them out alongside and parallel to the other ship, watching in case it veered off, charting alternate routes just in case.
"Lt P'Rar anything on sensors,"? Maia asked
"Just a bit of turbulence ahead, and a nebula later," she replied. "But so far, no radiation, no asteroids, nothing. We're clear to launch." She smiled.
"Systems aboard the Calypso are holding," reported Sayori from the engineering station. "It'll be a rough ride but they won't blow apart at the seams," she added with a nod.
"Excellent Job, Commander"
[USS Calypso, Intelligence suite]
T'Plana-hath sat in the Calypso's Intelligence suite. She was in deep review of the data corruption in the stream. It definitely was intentional and seemed to have a pattern. She felt a small lurch and instinctively knew they were underway. She continued to do her research.

"We are ready to get underway Captain," said Barth.
------Deck 4-------
Belbre was updating the computers with new information to enable the faster detection of any clones on the Leto if they tried to infiltrate the ship. She was working hard and had an engineering team with her doing it.
[USS Calypso, Intelligence suite]
T'Plana did something no one had ever heard or would, she cussed in Vulcan. She had cracked some of the Orion code left to corrupt the intelligence stream. It mentioned the clones and something about bombs. The clones were to be used like old Terran terrorists who would strap bombs to themselves to spread terror and chaos. There was also a mention of a secret military buildup. She hit her Commbadge...
-------USS Leto-------
Maia watched from the bridge as the Calypso lurched forward as her impulse engines activated it looked like a bumpy ride as he inertial dampeners were sluggish in responding after a few seconds though the ship found her trim.
Ships sensors indicated a sharp power rise in the Calypso's Impulse fusion reactors and speed, 25 percent, 40 percent 70 percent then settled on 93 percent output more or less.
"Max bring the Leto up to speed and set a course for Triton 094 mark 17 Three-quarters impulse power," Maia ordered.
"Aye, Captain," Max said. "094-17. Three-quarter impulse." He plied his board and the ship banked slightly and picked up speed, the local space rocks flying by faster.
Christ!!! Paisley held onto the panel in front of her as the ship lurched forward. You weren't "supposed" to feel it but the Carjoran was certain she could. Always. There was always a short tilt of her stomach, where it felt like it was going to fall out of her butt. She righted herself quickly. "Three-quarter impulse will bring us closer to the Nebula faster. Be alert for atmospheric pressure changes, Helm," she said, making eye contact with the Helmsman. "We'll be ok, though!" She smiled. If her star maps were correct, that is. And they were.
Max glanced back, partly confused, partly amused. "Will do, Science," he said. "Trajectory calculated to avoid collisions and scary gasses. Inertial dampeners are functioning, and helm responding. We're moving smooth."
