Mission: Double Dealing
Location: USS Calypso NCC-62495
Timeline: 239504.12

Captains Log Stardate 239504.12

I've sent an away team over to the Calypso, led by Commander Ryan Blake. There is a lot of subspace interference in the area, Still trying to determine why. The Calypso looks to be in pretty bad shape, the bridge is smashed and uninhabitable. the rest of the ship still seems to be able to support life. We still don't detect any life forms. But subspace interference makes readings difficult.

Sterling Maia A, Captain Commanding Leto.

-------------------------------------------------------------
[ON]

The away team materialized on deck four, the Air was 11 pounds per square inch, the intercom system was shorted out and there were piping and exposed conduits all over the place, the air smelled faintly of Ozone. The lights were still on for the most part where you were, in some areas auxiliary lighting was one.

"What do you want us to do first Commander,?" Saul asked Ryan.

Ryan looked at the away team. He moved to a still functional wall panel and brought up an LCARS image of the ship's schematics. "The Calypso seems to have partial power. Havre, your security team will sweep the fore sections of decks four through eight, sweeping for survivors, clearing hostiles, and performing an initial BDA (battle damage assessment). Humphreys, your team will do the aft sections of the same decks, Lieutenant T'Plana'Hath and I will take decks three through one fore and aft. Maintain open communications with, a minimum of two people while searching. Doctor Griffith, head to Sickbay and then Environmental Control. See if we can find survivors and get some better air in here. Rally point will be Sickbay. Lieutenant Barth will go with Commander Havre. Any questions?"

Gwen looked at Valla and they both shrugged and shook their heads. At Ryan's nod, they turned and headed to Sickbay on the double.

Belbre replied, "Aye Commander, Johnson you and Davis take decks 4&5 Brown you are with me. We will take 7 & 8. Check-in every 30 minutes." As the others went to the turbo lift, I turned Bronson, "Stay with the Commander, and protect him." Belbre had a feeling 7 &* had something important for the security team is why she took it. They went to the turbo lift and got on it. In a few minutes, they were on Deck 7 and 8. She sent Bron to take the aft section and moved forward.

She went toward the security officer's office, found it, and entered. After checking the computer she downloaded the contents and then started looking at the information. the computer showed some disturbing information on it. It showed that there had been borders in a quick attack. And that it lasted only for about 20 minutes and the boarders left the Ship. The security officer LCMD Adkins noted some differences in the way that some personnel were acting differently.

She hit her communications Badge, =/\= Commander, I am in the Security Office and it seems there were some boarders on the Calypso and that some of the crew were acting different afterward. I think those crew members were cloned and they became saboteurs. The clones may be responsible for some of the damage on the ship. =/\=

She continued to do her research through the computer files.

T'Plana in her EVA suit tapped a couple of commands and linked her Intelligence Tricorder to the suit. She then began doing a quick scan. "Commander Blake there are three things my Tricorder is picking up; the SCIF has been breached, the ship's vault has been breached, and the ship's core computer has been wiped of all but the minimal usage data."

Saul made his way to auxiliary control, everywhere he looked he found dead bodies, some with phaser wounds others with shrapnel from exploded consoles and and conduits, lots of plasma burns. This ship was for the most part wrecked.

=/\=Commander Blake, this is Lieutenant Humphries I've made it to auxiliary control. No one is alive down here. There is partial main power but the control consoles are blown. Looks like by Phaser Fire. I found Captain Anton's body, looks like he went down with the ship, Sir. Phasers are exhausted and the torpedo tubes are empty as well, all fired =/\= Humphries sent.

As the Chief Science Officer, Paisley was right behind the others. "Please, be careful!" She sighed. "No life signs," she confirmed. "If I can get to a lab, I might be able to find the emergency science hologram to help. Or something she said. "I think we can take off the suits as soon as engineering gets life support back online; with no life, there's no chance of sickness," she said.

Lt. Barth had followed a team to engineering. "I might be able to help with getting systems back online. Seeing as I was supposed to be the 2XO on this ship at some point."

Barth walked over to a console and typed in his security clearances. "UM Commander," he said, "I can bring Life support and all other ship controls online. Just give the word and this baby will be back to life."

"Thank you, Lt. Barth," Paisley said, approaching a computer. She needed to see what she could see.

Ryan acknowledged all the reports coming in from the various search teams and made his decision on a course of action. He activated his commlink to the Leto. "Captain Sterling, Lieutenant Commander Blake here. Our initial sweep of the ship is nearly complete. No survivors, nor hostiles were found. Recommend we begin transferring personnel between ships to begin repairs starting with propulsion, navigation, and life support. Calypso's auxiliary control is intact and, once we get maneuvering restored, we'll have control of the ship. Lieutenant Barth will remain aboard the Calypso in command of the away team, while Commander Havre and I return to the Leto and coordinate with you on additional resource allocation.”

=/\= Acknowledged Commander Blake, what do you need to get the Calypso up and running again=/\= Maia asked.

T'Plana suddenly realized something "Lieutenant Barth belay that last. Do not engage life support or any other ship control. We need a thorough E.O.D. sweep. Whoever attacked this ship would not have left it so easily recovered." She then looked at Lieutenant Commander Blake "My apologies for overstepping commander."

Paisley sighed, but she did understand. "There are no life signs..." she said.

Ryan nodded at T'Plana'Hath. "No apologies necessary and good call by the way. We'll need all the Marines for a thorough EOD sweep of the ship."

"I'll get right on it Commander Blake, Lt Humphries stated.

=/\= Humphries to Mardet95, Suit up boys with full EOD gear and beam over the Calypso, We need to sweet this bird of boobytraps, could be a bug hunt too, so I want you well-armed as well with full armor weapons and sensor pack. Meet me on engineering deck 6, in 5. Humphries out.=/\=

Soon an entire platoon of Starfleet Marines began methodically sweeping for EOD devices on each deck. They found explosive devices attached to the deflector control room on deck 8 as well as the main energizers on deck 10. Once they were disarmed Lt Humphries informed Commander Blake. took less than an hour. Nova class starships were small.

=/\= Sir, the EOD sweep is completed and explosives have been disarmed, you can send in damage control teams now. =/\=

Ryan tapped the button on his EVA suit forearm. "Summers, Blake. Start sending your repair teams over. Prioritize Propulsion and navigation systems. Captain Sterling, if you can spare Mister Thornehill, I believe it would expedite repairs to the navigation system."

=/\= Acknowledged Away team I will send him over=/\=

"Mr. Thornehill beam over to the Calypso and help expedite repairs to their navigation system," Maia ordered.

On cue, Lieutenant Commander Sayori Summers and a small team of damage control experts beamed onto the Calypso, directly into the engineering section, all in matching gold-trimmed EVA Suits. Sayori's purple hair framing her face and bright, expressive purple eyes made clear her identity despite the bulky suit.

Already working was the Ops officer who had beamed over in the initial away team. It was smart, to have Ops do the initial pass. It meant that she could, in theory, better equip her engineering team and get right to work.

"What have you got so far, Mr. Barth?" she asked him.

"Whatever we do," said Barth, "don't turn on life support just yet. I am picking up readings of clones everywhere."

"That's no reason not to activate life support," Sayori observed. "If anything, it means we should prioritize it." She looked to someone else on her engineering team and nodded. "Get it online now."

"Yes, ma'am," said a Petty Officer, who got to work.

"Something is gonna go crazy soon," said Barth as he typed in his command codes.

Gwen and Valla had their wrist beacons swinging back and forth slowly, taking in the empty corridors. They'd climbed down a few decks and had dropped out on the Main Sickbay as close as they could.

"Eerily quiet," Valla said.

"I suppose we could argue that quiet is better than screams and the sound of monsters in the walls," Gwen said, idly.

"Thank you, I wasn't scared enough to begin with," Vall said, her antennae twitching with anxiety.

"Relax, Valla," Gwen said as they approached Sickbay's doors. "Nothing's going to jump out at us and go 'Ahh!'"

Gwen looked at one of the flickering panels and tapped a command. The panel popped open and she reached inside, pulling a lever to release the first set of seals on the doors. She and Valla each grabbed a manual opener and affixed it to each door panel. They braced their feet and pulled, yanking the doors open far enough to enter.

"AHHH!" came a voice as a body jumped out in front of them, a long, stiff object in his hands, being held over his shoulder like a club.

Gwen immediately lashed out with a fist, connecting with their surprise assailant's nose. He spun in place and dropped to the deck, unconscious.

Gwen stepped over him, pulling a petrified Valla in with her, and then stepped back out to grab the door manipulators. She placed them inside and closed Sickbay's doors as quickly as she could.

Once their position was secured, she swung her light down at their attacker's face. "Deja vu..." she said, slowly.

"Wait," Valla said. "Isn't that--"

"Griffith to Blake," Gwen said, tapping her com badge. "I'm in Sickbay. We've found Mister Thornehill. Or, at least, another Mister Thornehill."

"Acknowledged Doctor. Lieutenant Humphries, dispatch two Marines to Sickbay to secure a prisoner for transport back to our brig." Ryan was concerned. How many more clones were they going to find?

Barth continued scanning and he noticed multiple readings that showed copies of who was there. "Gwen," he said into his com, "be careful in sickbay. That looks like the epicenter of the cloning experience."

"Understood," Gwen said. "I'll proceed with caution. I think we can get the systems here up and running once we have power."

"I can go to assist," Paisley said. "Can one of your Marines escort me?" She asked the Marine commander.

"I will escort you myself, Lieutenant," Saul replied.

"Thank you," she said, following behind the Marine.
