Having recovered from the surgery from having the implant removed from her brain, she now had to contact her grandma and tell her what had happened to her and see if she had any idea when the implant had been placed in her head, However; this was one call she knew her Grandma was not going to like. She opened up the com channel and typed in the code to open the channel.

As the screen changed to that of an auburn-haired woman who said =/\=Maria, how are you?=/\= as she looked rather surprised to receive the call from Maria.

Maria replied “I’m not happy Grandma, I just found out that the Caliphate stuck a bomb in my brain,” as she looked back at her Grandma who looked shocked as Maria continued “we are en route to Betazed as we speak and I want to speak with father as I want him,” looking at the elder woman, she finished “ to swear on you're life that he had nothing to do with this,”

Her Grandma looked back at her Granddaughter with sadness in her eyes that Maria would accuse her own father of having anything to do with what had been done to her, She responded =/\= so, you think you're father had this done do you Maria?=/\=

“Well, for one he still has not even recognized me as his Daughter and secondly he would not have to if it had gone off,” Maria explained looking at her Grandma as she did not like what she had said to her but it was what she felt for a long time since leaving Betazed.

=/\= Well, Maria, you can tell him how you feel and ask him yourself,+/\= her Grandma stated as she looked off-screen and beckoned someone forward as Maria heard her say, =/\= you better treat her right Son or else,=/\=

Just then a face appeared that she had not seen before as he spoke =/\=hello Maria, I hope you are well, and Yes Maria I am you're Father,=/\= responded Rodin Beisal who continued =/\= I am sorry for not acknowledging you till now, but I was ashamed and hurt that you're mother had not told me about you're birth,=/\=

Maria looked back at him and said,” did you have anything to do with having a Bomb planted in my head? And do not lie as Grandma will know” as she did not trust him yet as she waited for him to answer the question she noticed the shock on his face when she had asked the question and had looked to his mother.

Rodin responded, =/\= You are my daughter and I would never have had anything bad happen to you,=/\= looking back at her, he continued =/\= I know you are mad at me for not coming to help you or meeting you, but I am here for you now,=/\= as he wanted to make up for lost time with Maria.

“I don’t trust you father, I should, but I do not,” she said as she noticed her Grandma in the background giving her a nod that he was telling her the truth, finished “But I will give the benefit of the doubt this time” then it dawned on her if they went after her then they could go after her Mother and Sister. She said, “I have just thought if the Caliphate went after me then what about Mom and my Sister?”

Rodan looked back at his mother who nodded in agreement and then said,”=/\= leave it with me, Maria, I will contact the embassy on Earth and have them both checked over and protected =/\= he looked back at her as he finished=/\= I give you my word,=/\=

“Well, then you have three days to sort it father as the Leto is heading back to Betazed,” Maria stated looking back at him, finished ” see you then, McMahon out,” as she closed the channel, suddenly she felt a pain in her head and tapped her combadge =/\= Doctor Henderson, I need you to help quick =/\= as she then passed out on the floor.
