Posted on Fri Jan 14th, 2022 @ 3:05pm by Lieutenant Maria McMahon & Commander Ryan Blake & Lieutenant Commander Robert Hendon

Mission: The Thorion Conundrum Mission Brief
Location: Sickbay- USS Leto

[On]
-SickBay -USS Leto-

As Maria started to stir and blink around the overcrowded Sickbay and wondered why she was here, then she remembered being stunned on the away mission as she thought to herself oO for Pete’s sake Maria, watch yourself next time, Oo as she tried to sit up and groaned as she knew that she still felt rather groggy, but the one thing that she still wanted to know was about her Partner on the mission. Was Blake alright?

Ryan sat in a chair a few meters from where Maria lay on the biobed. He was keying in something on his. He heard the groan from Maria and was at her side a second later, a look of concern on his face. "Take it easy. You were hit by a phaser blast on heavy stun."

Robert always wondered why people went mad for Klingon coffee. The stuff in his opinion tasted like warm thick spicy mud. A good mug of Italian roast always seemed to calm him. Which after seeing Maria being brought in after being hit by a heavy stun. He really needed it.

He walked over to her biobed. He gave a nod to Ryan.

“How’s our patient?” He asked

Ryan looked at Maria. The after-effects from the phaser blast still obviously cause issues. "Are you okay?"

"Ugh," replied Maria looking at Ryan, she continued" just feel stiff and groggy," giving him a weak smile, "I'm just pleased to see that you are ok"

Ryan shrugged. "More or less."

Robert walked over to Ryan.

“ Actually I would like to give you a check over while your here. After what happened the first time we met now this. I just want to check everything is still running ok.” Robert said

Ryan was in pain, but nothing debilitating. "A few cuts and contusions. Feels like I may have a cracked rib. Nothing life threatening." He winced slightly as he shifted weight on his feet. "But perhaps your right."

Robert picked up a medical tricorder and ran it over Ryan.

“ Looks like your correct you have cracked a rib. Will have have that fixed in no time. How’s the old noggin been?” Hendon said pointing to his head.

Ryan tapped his head. "Lieutenant Monroe never landed anything on my head." He winced again as the doctor started treating his minor injuries. "As for my shoulders, chest and stomach...that's a different story. She landed a lot of solid blows there."

Hendon chuckled.

“ Actually I meant from last time we met. Remember you were comatose thanks to our Orion friends.” He said.

Ryan shrugged. It had been a learning experience. "Yeah, I am guessing that my recovery will be a lot quicker this time." Ryan turned to Maria. "You starting to feel better?"

"A little bit, I was worried about you and that I'd let you down" replied Maria looking back at Blake, as she started to doubt herself.

Hendon glanced up from the padd in his hands.

“ Yes, it would seem your injuries are healing. You should be able to leave in a day if everything continues as it is. Ryan if you want to lay down on the adjacent biobed. Well just give you a check-up.” Hendon said

Ryan gave a nod and sat on the biobed. "Try and make it quick Doctor. I think I am going to have a lot on my plate in the foreseeable future."

Having heard about Ryan's injuries, Maria lay on her bed knowing full well that what had happened to him was her fault and had taken the news badly and now after everything she felt like going home, but she needed to talk with someone and that was Ryan.

Ryan glanced over at Maria. She appeared pensive, as if something was on her mind. "Something seems to be weighing on you. Anything I can do for you."

"Well doc, I have been having these headaches before I went on the mission," replied Maria Looking back at Leto's CMO, She knew that whatever was causing her pain was nothing than just a headache.

Hendon could see that Ryan was fully recovered from his past injuries. The new ones he had received were healing fast.

“Well. As soon as you wish you may be on your way. But please have something to eat and drink soon.” Robert advised.

Ryan nodded. "Will do Doctor."

Robert nodded and checked her bio bed readings.

" You know what. I could do with a mug of something hot. Would you like me to get you both something from the replicator?" Robert asked

Ryan nodded as the dermal regenerator healed most of his bruises. "Peach tea, sweet would be great please."

Hendon turned to Maria.

“ You should be ok with some liquid. Do you wish to try a drink too?” He asked

"Yes please Doctor, May I have a glass of water," replied Maria, as she didn't want to try anything hot just yet, she asked Can you do anything for my headache Doctor?" as it was starting to annoy her.

She looked at Ryan and knew that he was now going to be alright she said, "Looks like I am going to need some extra training after what happened," as she didn't want it to happen to her again.

Ryan chuckled. "I said the same thing after my return from the Thorion mission."

A headache? Robert frowned as he walked over to her bio bed.

“The treatment should of neutralised the headache. It should be dissipating by now. Not still hanging around? Tell me is it getting worse?” He asked her.

Robert also looked at Ryan.

“Are you feeling anything as well?” He also asked him.

Ryan stretched his arms and legs for a moment and did a torso twist. He felt a slight tightness that would loosen up in the next hour or so. "I am good. Nothing that won't unkink itself with a little normal movement."

Robert ran a probe over Ryans head.

“What about your head?” Robert asked

"All good there Doctor." He gave a clear eyed look at Robert to give the man a sense he was good to get back to duty.

“ Then you are cleared to go for now. “ Robert said

"When will I be allowed out Doc?" asked Maria as she wanted to contact her Grandma and inform her about the bomb in her head, of which she knew that her Grandma was going to be annoyed.

Hendon checked the bio bed readings. He gave a satisfied nod.

“ Now if you wish. Your all cured and I see no reason for you to stay here any longer.” Hendon advised her.
