Mission: The Thorion Conundrum Mission Brief
Location: Adift Enemy Vessel

Note: Captain Sterling and Senior Chief Keitel are included because all comm badges are transmitting real time updates to the Leto. Brannon commands the away team with a security team. Dougherty is the mission specialist tasked with finding the psionic weapon.

Brannon and her team arrived and checked their gear. Brannon replied " Chief keep a lock on us and open comms so if we need to have an emergency beam out it can happen fast. Also we hit hard and fast any we stun. Send them to the brig so we can interrogate them. With transporter locks."

The power was down on this ship as the emergency lighting engaged, life support and gravity were also sporadic. You realize you will need to use you lights. The damage to the ship from the battle with the Leto is more extensive that previously though, there is the distinct smell of Ozone and a smoke from damaged and blown conduits. Life signs are sporadic and weak.

Overhead fallen conduits were still sparking. You could see three bodies not moving on the the other side of the corridor.

Eretria set her phaser rifle to stun. This was no training exercise and despite her years at Starfleet Academy and prior to that the Royal Preparatory Academy on Elas it was her first actual combat mission. She gave Brannon a nod.

Jamie set her rifle to a heavy stun, and was using her combat glasses (OOC: Looked like shooting protective glasses) to protect her eyes, which included adaptive low-light enhancement so she didn't need to use a flashlight on her rifle, which would give away her position. She had a simple sensor array with enhanced reality wireframing so that she could avoid tripping on floor hazards on the ship. Her copious red hair was done in a braid to keep it from getting in the way. She set the phaser in her shoulder to stay safe, and docked her tricorder on the tip like 21st century humans added flashlights or red lasers to their weapons, allowing her to scan ahead for the psionic weapon while also keeping her weapon at the ready, the information showing in her glasses within her field of view as a map, the people in her party as green dots, and the wireframe map of the ship within a circle in the corner of her vision.

"So if I were a psionic weapon, where would I hide?" she said in a low voice that everyone could hear.

Brannon replied, " According to the sensors on the Leto at the weapons section. It should be down at the end of this corridor. Move out slowly and quietly. Keep your eyes open."

Suddenly someone appears, Brannon fires to stun him. Then attaches a transporter lock to him and sends him to the Brig. She looks arounds and checks the tricorder. No one else nearby except behind the hatch she picks up signs of 4 more. It is the room where the weapons is in.

"Everyone on your toes, we hit that room fast and hard, 2 Stun grenades and we go in fast firing. Take all we can prisoner and send them back to the Leto to be interrogated. Then when we finish with them we turn them over to the Betazoid government to be tried for crimes against Betazed."

Eretria set her team in a standard stack on the door, the point man holding two primed stun grenades set for release. Eretria gave Dougherty a nod to override the door lock and release.

The doors opened and led to the weapons section, there was a person sitting in a chair with several electrodes attached to his head however he had a large gash in his neck and a piece of the wall protruded out of it. He was dead. No one else was in that part of the bay and even in this room the consoles were sparking and the wall on the left was on fire.

Eretria ordered the two strongest members of the team to unhook the corpse from the machine and prepare both the machine and corpse for transport. "Be mindful of booby traps though." She grabbed a fire extinguisher and set about containing the fire on the wall.

Jamie, despite her strong constitution, almost gagged at the sight. She hated blood, now moreso than before her genetic 'gift' from the Orions. Perhaps her more sensitive nose was the culprit.

With a sweep of her rifle, she disengaged a pressure plate she found with her tricorder deftly and quickly so that the transport could occur without a hitch.

"Looks like behind those fallen panels there," Jamie said, pointing. She coughed a bit at the smoke, and ignored the random sparking.

Brannon signaled Bryant to take the left and they quickly checked out the room to be sure no one else is in the room. They find no one and come back. "Room is all clear. Lets get this done and get out of here before someone finds us."

Brannon hit her communications badge, =/\= Brannon to Bridge, We are at the device and are preparing it for transport Hope to finish soon. We also have found 12 of the suspected portable units as well. We will send them back too.=/\=

Brannon began to examine one of the portable devices. She was able to read the Betazed language written on it. " HMMM these are simple to use. And work much like out handheld phasers." She powers one up and sets it at a low setting to not hurt anyone. The aims it at a dead Betazed, and pushes the button. it fires and makes his muscles twitch. She turns it off and stops.

She moves around the room and picks up any portable computers along with anything else that may give us intel on what is going on and how many ships they may have. Placing it in a pack she brought along.

=/\= Brannon to Sterling, We have secured the device. There was only 2 Betazeds in the area. One was stunned and transported straight to the Birg. The other was dead. The device is being readied for transport now, And I searched the area. and found 12 of the portable devices and secured them. They work similar to a phasers and when we get back I can show others how to use them to our advantage. We should be ready in a few minutes to transport the device.
Also recommend it you see life signs other than Federation teams. Beam them straight to the Brig. If they are uninjured. I got the feeling that this ship cannot be repaired and anyone left behind will die slowly. Better to be prisoners than die slowly Captain.=/\=

Brannon looked around, "Ensign Eretria, see if you can down load a copy of the database from the ship. It may have intel we can use to be better able to fight back against the Caliphate. Maybe even a list of all the ships they control and the area where they are located as well. When you finish putting out the fires."

Eretria swept the fire extinguisher back and forth across the base of the fire as she called out over her shoulder. "Will do Lieutenant."

Something caught Brannon's eye on top of cabinet. She went to check it out. She had found the motherload. All the technical logs on the machine along with how to work it and how to be able to protect others that was friendly from it. She motioned to the others and went over to them. "Here is the Tech manuals for how to work this machine see if this helps to get it powered down and faster to make it ready for transport."

Eretria extinguished the fire and moved to assist Jamie in her work. "Anything I can do to help Lieutenant?"

"Yes help me take his apart."

The team was working fast and they knew they did not have much time. They were almost ready to transport the psonic device. It is a time of great pressure. "We need to get this done quickly, the Betazed's that remain know we are on the ship now. And are getting ready to attack soon. We need to wrap this up quickly." Brannon

The enlisted security members began erecting make shift barriers and setting up an ambush for the final group.

=/\= Brannon to Sterling. We are building barriers to allow us to defend our position. Hope to have the device ready to transport in a few minutes. The engineering team is about ready now to transport. Estimate 10 minutes before we can transport it back to the Leta. It needs to go first. And then all my team will go next.

Our defenses are set up and we can hold them off from where we are now. =/\=

Brannon looks around "Engineering get that device ready to go now. We can expect an attack anytime. We got to get out of here."

=/\=Leto to Brannon how much resistance have you encountered=/\=

=/\= Brannon to Leto, So far minimal, But my telepathic abilities say we can expect an attack to take the device back. Not sure when they plan to try. But I can tell they don't want us to get off the ship with it. And will do what is necessary to prevent us from getting it. The doors are welded shut from the inside. So if they come they will have to blast there way in. And that will give is some extra time. =/\=

=/\= Sensors only detect 2 lifeforms besides the away team on that ship Lieutenant Brannon they are trying to use illusion against you. We have locked onto them ans are beaming them directly to the Brig. Leto out. =/\=
