Captains Log Stardate Supplemental 239602.16

The Leto has navigated the asteroid field, and just as the clone of Colin Barth indicated there is a research facility out here. the Leto is within transporter range. Sensors indicate that 2/3rd of the station is offline, and power generation is quite low. The station itself has been pelted with large asteroids and it looks like the shields have been all but exhausted. We are picking up life signs. Attempts at communication have failed. There are no support craft or escape pods. It looks as though the facility has been stripped of almost everything useful and then abandoned. We are going in to investigate.
